Art Mouvance - Society for Art

The Art Mouvance organization was founded in 1995 by a collective of artists from all walks of life, dancers, actors, singers, musicians, directors, choreographers and writers who were keen to transmit art in all its forms, the most varied artistic movements of the contemporary period, to an audience of amateurs and specialists alike. For over twenty years, Art Mouvance has dedicated itself to the support of development projects from different universes and hemispheres, promoting creative diversity and the production of events ranging from live performances to cultural trips of study, from dance and theatrical performances to the practice of the spoken word and dramaturgy in writing workshops, contributing to the dissemination of European languages and the study of Latin American civilizations with exchanges and collaborations with Africa. Eclectic, Art Mouvance has also invested heavily in a pedagogical method of transmitting art and educational culture, particularly to audiences who are the furthest away from it; the association created a radio program entitled Hémisphère Sud for the broadcast of Latin American and Afro-Caribbean music with accompanying dance classes serving neighborhood associations in the Normandy region of France. The organization contributed to art through communication consulting for the development of artists, personalized consulting for staging, scenography and the promotion of artists wishing to develop their image and their career. From advice on photography and design of musical albums, to the staging of plays and dance shows, Art Mouvance has provided its training courses and artistic guidance for the benefit of works of art and cultural works with its main concern always being that of disseminating art to as many people as possible and with an approach focused on sharing and personal development. Currently, the association offers training seminars for the design of scenography for art exhibitions, the staging of works in contemporary spaces and it simultaneously provides its support for artistic and cultural creation and the promotion of heritage through a unit dedicated to contemporary projects. Support for publications and editing of literary works and documents in the form of a participatory grant has recently been put in place in order to promote writing and the dissemination of original books, as well as educational documents. Art Mouvance wishes to develop an artist residency & workshop in the near future in order to facilitate and improve its continuous support for the ultra-contemporary creation and emerging talents from Latin America, Africa and Asia, as well as other contributions that corresponds to the artistic initiative of the association. In order to make its contribution to European artists, Art Mouvance will open a section dedicated to supporting established talents wishing to make their work known through exhibitions, which could also serve as an artistic practice as well as the curation of works, including a gallery-art center managed by the the association. In an upcoming call for projects in 2025, Art Mouvance will open to interested applicants that seeks to further art, their own or in general through various projects.
